Bond investors are concerned that Haslet may be appointed as Federal Reserve Chair

BlockBeats News, December 4th, according to the Financial Times, bond investors have told the US Treasury that they are concerned about Kevin Hassett potentially being appointed as Federal Reserve chairman, fearing that he would cut interest rates significantly to please Trump.

According to several sources, the US Treasury held one-on-one conversations with top executives from Wall Street major banks, asset management giants, and other large participants in the US debt market to solicit feedback on Hassett and other candidates. These conversations took place in November last year, after which Treasury Secretary Besen interviewed the candidates in the final round.
