BlockBeats News, November 25th, according to The Block, Binance is facing a lawsuit that accuses the cryptocurrency exchange of willfully aiding Hamas in transferring funds before the 2023 attack by the militant group on Israel.
The lawsuit was filed on Monday in a federal court in North Dakota, USA, with more than 300 victims of the attack and their families as plaintiffs. The lawsuit names Binance, its co-founder CZ, and senior executive Guangying Chen as defendants.
The complaint states: "For years, Binance has willfully, deliberately, and systematically assisted Hamas, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Hezbollah, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and other terrorist organizations in transferring and hiding billions of dollars in funds through the Binance platform to support their terrorist activities. This assistance materially supported the October 7th attack and subsequent terror attacks by Hamas, Hezbollah, and Palestinian Islamic Jihad."
Reports indicate that Binance is currently facing multiple similar lawsuits in the US, accusing it of facilitating cryptocurrency transactions associated with FTOs. A Binance spokesperson stated on Tuesday that the company is unable to comment on any ongoing litigation.
