Analysis: When the Volatility Index (VIX) exceeds 28.7, the S&P 500 tends to deliver strong returns

BlockBeats News, November 24th, KobeissiLetter released market analysis stating that based on historical data, when the volatility index VIX exceeds 28.7 points, the S&P 500 index tends to deliver strong returns over the following 12 months. When the VIX index is in the range of 28.7 to 33.5, the average return over the next year from 1991 to 2022 is +16%. When the VIX index exceeds 33.5, the average return over 12 months soars to +27%. In contrast, when the VIX index fluctuates between 11.3 and 12.0, the S&P 500 index has a return of +15% over the next year.
