Bitunix Analyst: PCE expected flat, Trump’s tariffs add inflation and growth risks

BlockBeats News, September 26th. the U.S. core PCE report due later today is expected to remain unchanged (MoM 0.3%, YoY 2.9%), suggesting inflation stays within a manageable range. Meanwhile, Trump announced new tariffs of 25%–100% on trucks, furniture, and pharmaceuticals effective October 1. While this will not affect the upcoming PCE print, it could add one-off inflationary pressure and heighten concerns over economic slowdown. Overall, the Fed may adopt a more cautious stance, while markets continue to price in future rate cuts. Crypto sentiment is caught between「inflation hedge」demand and pressure on risk assets.

In the crypto market, BTC has continued its decline this week, consolidating near 109k. Key liquidity support lies at 108k; a breakdown could open 106–107k. On the upside, 110–112k marks a cluster of long stop-losses, while 116k is the main resistance, requiring solid inflows to break.

Bitunix Analyst Advice

Tariffs increase uncertainty, with sentiment swinging between inflation fears and growth risks. BTC short-term focus: support at 108k–107k, resistance at 118k–120k. Traders are advised to strictly manage leverage, scale into positions, and use tight stop-losses around the PCE release to prepare for heightened volatility.
