QCP: Credit risks in AI infrastructure are intensifying, and Bitcoin remains unable to shake off its risk asset attributes.

BlockBeats news, October 23 - QCP Capital released its latest market analysis stating that credit risks in the AI infrastructure sector are accelerating, with growing market concerns over related companies' financing costs, debt servicing capacity, and returns on AI capital expenditure, dragging down US equities and the crypto market. CoreWeave bond yields have risen to approximately 15%, and its stock price fell about 10% on October 22, reflecting the market's reassessment of risks facing AI infrastructure projects reliant on debt financing.

QCP noted that credit stress is spreading from CoreWeave to the broader emerging cloud infrastructure industry, as investors begin to re-examine tech companies' capital expenditure commitments and profitability prospects.

Meanwhile, French 10-year government bond yields rose above 5.1%, with the spread against German bunds widening to approximately 170 basis points, reflecting rising European sovereign credit and fiscal risk premiums. Middle East geopolitical tensions pushed Brent crude and WTI crude to five-month highs, further amplifying uncertainty around inflation and monetary policy.

On monetary policy, market expectations for a Fed rate hike in October have fallen to near zero, while confidence in a December rate cut has also weakened significantly, as investors reassess the relationship between credit tightening, slowing economic growth, and inflationary pressures. The market currently faces a confluence of multiple risk factors, with capital showing a tendency to rotate into relatively safe assets such as longer-dated US Treasuries.

Regarding Bitcoin, QCP stated that BTC has recently weakened in tandem with US equities, reflecting that it remains primarily influenced by overall risk appetite changes and has not yet demonstrated price action independent of traditional markets. As AI infrastructure financing risks spread and market risk-aversion sentiment intensifies, credit market developments may become an important variable affecting BTC and other risk assets in the near term.
