South Korean actor Jung Hae-in Embezzles Around $3 Million Company Funds to Invest in Cryptocurrency, Receives Suspended Sentence

BlockBeats News, September 26th, according to Decrypt's report, South Korean actress Han Ji-hyun was sentenced to two years of probation by the Jeju District Court on Thursday for embezzling $3 million (43.4 billion KRW) from her personal agency to invest in cryptocurrency. This means that as long as she doesn't commit another crime in the next four years, she will not have to serve a prison sentence.

Earlier in August, the prosecution had requested a three-year prison sentence, but the judge, taking into account that she had fully repaid the amount and the fact that it was her first offense and she had made full restitution, ultimately granted probation.
