BlockBeats News, May 15: On the afternoon of May 15, the Ministry of Commerce held its regular press conference. Ministry of Commerce spokesperson, Gao Feng, stated: Regarding the U.S.'s imposition of Section 232 tariffs on imported cars, steel, and aluminum, as well as the U.S.'s initiation of a Section 232 investigation into imported pharmaceuticals, China believes that the U.S.'s actions are typical examples of unilateralism and protectionism. These actions not only harm the interests of other countries and undermine the rules-based multilateral trading system but also do not benefit the development of domestic industries.
China urges the U.S. to immediately stop the Section 232 tariff measures and properly address the concerns of all parties through equal dialogue. (Riyue Tan Tian)
