Veridise: ZK project audits are twice as likely to find critical issues as regular audits

BlockBeats news, July 22, according to The Block, blockchain security company Veridise released a report saying that audits of zero-knowledge (ZK) projects are twice as likely to find critical issues as other types of audits.

According to a report, Veridise analyzed 1,605 vulnerability findings from its most recent 100 audits, with an average of about 16 issues found per audit, while the average number of issues found for zero-knowledge audits was slightly higher at 18.

However, when focusing on critical vulnerabilities, Veridise found that 55% (11 out of 20 audits) of zero-knowledge audits contained critical issues, while the proportion of other audits (including smart contracts, wallet integrations, blockchain implementations, and relayers) was 27.5% (22 out of 80 audits).
