US lawmakers urge Biden to bring arrested Binance executives back from Nigeria

BlockBeats reported that on June 5, 12 U.S. congressmen asked President Biden to bring back Binance executive Tigran Gambaryan, who had been detained in Nigeria for nearly three months. House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul (R-Texas), along with 11 other leaders, wrote to Joe Biden, Secretary of State Antony Blinken, and Presidential Envoy for Hostage Affairs Roger Carstens.

In their letter, they urged the president to treat Gambaryan’s case as a hostage incident and bring him back to the United States. Gambaryan is a U.S. citizen and Binance’s compliance director.

"We are concerned about his safety. Immediate action must be taken to ensure his safety and save his life. We must act quickly before it is too late,"
