ENS Labs plans to migrate Ethereum domain name service to L2

BlockBeats news, on May 28, ENS Labs announced the proposal of ENSv2, a comprehensive upgrade of Ethereum domain name service, involving the migration of services to the Layer 2 network.

According to ENS Labs, ENSv2 aims to enhance scalability and reduce gas fees by transferring core functions from the Ethereum mainnet to the Layer 2 blockchain.

However, ENS Labs has not yet selected a specific stack or Layer 2 network for migration. It is reported that the network will become a new platform for users to interact with ENS after the migration is completed.
