Wormhole will use AMD chips to improve the "light client" proof efficiency of the cross-chain interoperability platform.

BlockBeats news, on February 21st, Wormhole announced that it will adopt AMD's FPGA hardware accelerator chip to expand the ability of using zero-knowledge proof (ZKP) for cross-chain message transmission. The project plans to achieve this through a "light client" to integrate ZKP for secure cross-chain transfer, aiming to create a secure "channel" for message transmission between different blockchains. In this collaboration, Wormhole will utilize AMD's Alveo U55C and U250 compatible accelerator cards to increase the capacity for secure cross-chain message transmission using zero-knowledge proof. As a bridging solution connecting over 30 blockchains, Wormhole is developing a "light client" implementation solution for secure cross-chain transfer by integrating zero-knowledge proof into the platform. The addition of AMD chips provides the necessary computing power for generating and verifying proofs across networks.
