Taiko has launched its final testnet, Katla, with the mainnet expected to be released in Q1 2024.
According to BlockBeats news on January 15th, Taiko, an Ethereum layer 2 network based on zkRollup, has launched its final test and released Katla. Its mainnet is expected to go live at the end of the first quarter of 2024.
It is reported that Katla is the sixth Taiko testnet developed by Taiko developers, which introduces a new rollup design called multi-proof based competitive rollup. This combines elements of both Optimistic and ZK-rollups and is expected to be beneficial for decentralized applications that require high throughput and cost efficiency. (The Block)
