The Curve team has proposed providing approximately 6.04 million veCRV tokens as compensation for the losses incurred by the JPEG'd DAO in July due to a hacker attack.

BlockBeats reported on January 15th that the Curve team proposed a "Compensation for Losses Suffered by JPEG'd DAO in the July Hack" in the community, suggesting to provide 6,042,462.25 veCRV tokens as compensation. Currently, JPEG'd DAO has been whitelisted and is eligible to lock up CRV. They will lock and use the resulting veCRV to participate in Curve governance. At the same time, the proposal suggests that the compensation tokens be transferred to Curve DAO by the Curve community's multisig wallet, and that the DAO conducts fully decentralized voting for compensation.
