The American Cancer Society has entered the Web3 space and has chosen Gitcoin Grants Stack as their toolkit.
BlockBeats news on November 30th, according to official sources, the American Cancer Society (ACS) has entered the Web3 space to explore alternative forms of capital allocation, and has selected Gitcoin Grants Stack as its preferred toolkit. This is the second time that Gitcoin technology has been used by a well-known non-profit organization, the first time being the powerful QF collaboration pilot project with UNICEF in 2022.
Gitcoin, which is a member of the OKX Ventures portfolio, focuses on public goods funding and developer community support. The two sides jointly supported the first Schelling Point conference held in the Asia-Pacific region in Singapore earlier this year. Jeff Ren, a member of the Gitcoin Steward Council and partner at OKX Ventures, said: "We are very excited to see traditional fields embracing this innovation through blockchain technology, and Gitcoin has brought positive social impact to the developer community and the wider society. This symbolizes the promotion of positive social impact and the improvement of mass adoption, and OKX Ventures will continue to support these efforts and related enterprises."
