OpenAI forms new initial board of directors, with Sam Altman returning as CEO.
On November 30th, BlockBeats reported that OpenAI announced the formation of a new initial board of directors, with Sam Altman reappointed as CEO, Mira Murati as Chief Technology Officer, and Greg Brockman reappointed as President.
In his speech, Sam stated that the new initial board of directors will be chaired by Bret Taylor, with Larry Summers and Adam D'Angelo also on the board. The current priority is to:
Advance research programs and further invest in full-stack security work, which has always been a key part of the work. Our research roadmap is clear; this is a very focused moment.
Continuously improve and deploy products to serve customers. It is important to let people experience the benefits and prospects of artificial intelligence and have the opportunity to participate in shaping it. We still believe that excellent products are the best way to achieve this goal.
Bret, Larry, and Adam will work hard to complete the important task of building a diversified perspective board of directors, improving our governance structure, and overseeing an independent review of recent events. We look forward to working closely with them to ensure that everyone can feel confident in the stability of OpenAI.
