Kraken is seeking partners to build Layer2, and is in talks with Polygon, Matter Labs, Nil Foundation, and others.
According to BlockBeats news on November 7th, citing sources familiar with the matter, cryptocurrency exchange Kraken is in talks with multiple blockchain technology companies to collaborate on launching its own Layer 2 network. Sources revealed that Kraken is considering companies such as Polygon, Matter Labs, and Nil Foundation to use their technology as the basis for the new network.
This move will keep Kraken in line with its competitor Coinbase's efforts to launch its own Layer 2 network. Recently, Kraken added relevant job postings on its website, recruiting a "Senior Cryptography Engineer" with "modern cryptography knowledge (including ZK proof)" whose job opportunities may include "designing and implementing Layer 2 solutions."
