Revoke.cash: Scammers use the technique of "disguising" network names to steal cryptocurrency assets, reminding users to be vigilant.

BlockBeats News, on September 29th, Revoke.cash issued a security alert regarding a new type of cryptocurrency scam. Scammers use the technique of "disguising" the network name to make investors mistakenly believe they are sending some irrelevant tokens, but in reality, they may be sending valuable assets. A typical example is a network named "Totally Not A Scam" (with the logo "SCAM") having the same chain ID as BNB Chain. Since the name and logo are not specified on the chain, users may mistakenly believe that they are sending worthless "SCAM" tokens, when in fact they are sending valuable BNB. Although some wallets such as MetaMask issue warnings, users still need to be extra careful and always check what they are actually adding when adding a new network.
