Paradigm has launched its "groundbreaking" policy laboratory to advance cryptocurrency advocacy.

On September 26, BlockBeats News reported that the cryptocurrency venture capital firm Paradigm announced the launch of what they call a "groundbreaking" Policy Lab, which will serve as a "hub" for academics, policy experts, lawyers, and technical experts. Policy Lab co-directors Rodrigo Seira and Brendan Malone wrote in a blog post, "Over the past year, Paradigm has established itself as a policy leader, engaging in everything from defending crypto in court, to convening thought leaders, to publishing policy-centered research." The team will produce "cutting-edge research, commentary, and advocacy" on the most important policy issues facing cryptocurrencies and other emerging technologies. As part of the launch, Paradigm Policy Lab announced two inaugural academic researchers, Primavera De Filippi of the Berkman Klein Center at Harvard University and Agostino Capponi of Columbia University. They will research "regulatory equivalence" - a term used to describe "the comparability of legal and technical constraint systems and how the same policy outcomes can be achieved through regulatory or technical architectures."
