Starting from October 16th, HSBC UK will prohibit its UK customers from conducting transactions related to cryptocurrencies.

According to BlockBeats news on September 26th, Chase UK, a subsidiary of JPMorgan Chase, will prohibit its UK customers from conducting cryptocurrency-related transactions starting from October 16th, according to an email sent to customers. The email stated that "we'll decline the transaction if we see that you're trying to make a payment that's related to cryptocurrency." It also added that customers are free to choose other banks or providers for their cryptocurrency investments. The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) in the UK recently stated that it has been facilitating discussions between banks and cryptocurrency companies, but lenders have shown unwillingness to provide services to the industry.
