The US CFTC rejects Kalshi's congressional election prediction market plan.
According to BlockBeats news on September 22nd, the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) rejected the congressional election betting plan proposed by Kalshi, a prediction market. After KalshiEx LLC submitted its application in June 2023, the CFTC stated that the plan involved illegal gaming and activities that went against public interest.
