The Deputy Superintendent of Virtual Currency at the New York Department of Financial Services will step down at the end of September.
According to a memo obtained by FOX Business on September 15th, Peter Marton, the Deputy Superintendent of Virtual Currency at the New York State Department of Financial Services, will resign on September 29th. The memo and Marton's departure have not been made public yet. In a letter, the department's head, Adrienne Harris, stated that Peter Marton will be seeking opportunities in private companies. Marton has served as the Deputy Superintendent of Virtual Currency for nearly two years, during which he was responsible for overseeing major policy decisions related to digital assets and blockchain technology, according to his LinkedIn profile.
