K33 Research: CME Ethereum futures trading at a lower price than spot price indicates a bearish outlook.
BlockBeats reported on September 13th that crypto research firm K33 Research stated that in recent weeks, the premium of Ethereum futures has been lower compared to Bitcoin futures, and the gap has continued to widen in the past week. The current trading price of Ethereum futures is currently discounted compared to the spot market. This suggests that the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) has exhibited an unusually pessimistic outlook on Ethereum futures ETF before its expected launch.
Analysts have stated, "As the Ethereum futures ETF is expected to be listed in October, this is considered positive news, so the current price performance of Ethereum futures seems a bit strange. There are no other indications that the Ethereum ETF will be rejected, and historically, the difference between Ethereum and Bitcoin futures is not a cause for concern."
