Layer 1 public chain LUKSO has released a beta version of its "Universal Profile" testnet, aimed at providing on-chain identities for users.
According to BlockBeats news on September 12th, Fabian Vogelsteller, one of the creators of the Ethereum ERC-20 standard, and others have launched a test version of the "Universal Profile" feature for the Layer 1 public chain LUKSO. This feature aims to provide users with an overall "on-chain identity", which includes a recoverable encrypted wallet and a profile for interacting with social media applications.
The Universal Profile can be used for various applications on the blockchain (such as NFTs, decentralized social media, and payments), allowing users' activities to be integrated into one account, rather than just a wallet address.
