Bitget's Managing Director: The influence of CEX will not only rely on market share, but also on the establishment of a complete ecosystem.
BlockBeats reported on August 7th that Gracy Chen, the Managing Director of Bitget, was recently invited to an exclusive interview with Cointelegraph. During the interview, Gracy shared her views on the past, present, and future of the cryptocurrency market.
Gracy stated that "despite the growing adoption of cryptocurrencies globally, the industry still faces many challenges. This is due to the uncertainty of cryptocurrency regulation, security issues, and a lack of investor education. These obstacles will largely disappear as long as a fair regulatory framework is established." She also pointed out that "DeFi, GameFi, Meme tokens, and other industries should also audit key elements such as project contracts and security procedures before releasing them to investors."
In addition, regarding her expectations for the cryptocurrency market over the next five years, Gracy expressed that "although the market is facing many challenges currently, these factors may prevent a significant inflow of funds in the short term. However, looking ahead to the next five years, the cryptocurrency industry will become one of the mainstream markets. From a macroeconomic perspective, the Federal Reserve's interest rate hike cycle is about to end, and it is expected to enter a new rate-cutting cycle in 2024-2025. This favorable environment can make cryptocurrencies an attractive inflation hedge tool and attract more investors."
On the other hand, Gracy pointed out that "competition between CEXs (centralized exchanges) will not only be about traditional user and trading volume acquisition, but also through the establishment of their own ecosystems. This is why Bitget is committed to building a complete ecosystem, such as BitKeep, Foresight Ventures, Foresight News, and Foresight X."
