Chain game developer Curio has open-sourced a portion of its Keystone ECS game engine.
BlockBeats reported on August 2nd that game developer Curio has announced the open-source release of a portion of its Keystone ECS game engine. Keystone will ultimately become an EVM layer composed of smart contracts and game engine data. Although the game engine has not been officially released, the Curio team has already used Keystone to build a mini-game of Warcraft on the chain as a demonstration.
As previously reported by BlockBeats on July 19th, Curio announced the launch of the L2 framework Keystone to build high-performance on-chain games. The framework combines EVM and high-performance game engines and will provide support for the DA layer of modular blockchain Celestia.
