The source code of Tesla's payment page shows "bitcoin", but it is currently unclear whether it is a new addition.

According to BlockBeats news on July 20th, the word "bitcoin" appeared in the source code of Tesla's payment page, as shown on its official website. The source file of this code was last updated on July 13th, but it does not necessarily mean that the "bitcoin" related code was added on July 13th, and it cannot be confirmed whether the relevant code was deleted after the cancellation of support in May 2021. In addition, Tesla had previously added the word "doge" in the source code of the payment page but only supported it for purchasing products in the merchandise store. Therefore, whether to accept bitcoin payments should be based on relevant announcements and displays on the front-end. As previously reported by BlockBeats, Tesla announced support for bitcoin payments for car purchases on March 24th, 2021, but cancelled the payment method on May 13th of the same year.
