Aave is launching a decentralized stablecoin GHO on the Ethereum mainnet.

BlockBeats reported on July 14th that Aave's AIP proposal regarding the launch of its decentralized stablecoin GHO on the mainnet has been approved by the vote. The proposal aims to introduce GHO to the Ethereum mainnet through Aave V3 Facilitator and FlashMinter Facilitator. The proposal shows that it will be executed on-chain within one day, which means that GHO could be launched on the Ethereum mainnet as early as July 15th, and Aave V3 users on the Ethereum mainnet will be able to use collateral to mint GHO. As previously reported by BlockBeats, Facilitator is a concept introduced by GHO, and Facilitator (such as protocols, entities, etc.) can generate a specific range of GHO and also destroy them. Aave V3 Ethereum Facilitator allows users to deposit collateral to borrow GHO, and the collateral is stored in the V3 Ethereum mainnet pool. FlashMinter Facilitator allows users to FlashMint (similar to flash loans) GHO and repay it in a single transaction, instead of borrowing assets from the pool.
