The Indonesian commodity futures trading regulatory agency will launch a cryptocurrency trading platform this month.
According to a report by Tempo on July 14th, the Indonesian Commodity Futures Trading Regulatory Agency (Bappebti) will launch a cryptocurrency trading platform in July 2023. Didid Noordiatmoko, the head of Bappebti, stated that once the trading platform is launched, all cryptocurrency trades will only be allowed through exchanges, and KYC and various processes will be regulated.
Didid also stated that for the cryptocurrencies to be sold, Bappebti hopes that they are local but can still keep up with the development of the international market, including price issues, provided that they are approved by Bappebti.
