Binance announces its withdrawal from the Dutch market.

According to official sources, on June 16th, Binance announced its withdrawal from the Dutch market and will no longer accept new users residing in the Netherlands. Starting from 08:00 on July 17th, 2023 Beijing time, existing Dutch resident users will only be able to withdraw assets from the Binance platform and will not be able to purchase, trade or deposit further. Binance encourages users to take appropriate action and withdraw assets from their Binance accounts. As previously reported by BlockBeats, on March 17th, Laura van Geest, the chairman of the Dutch financial market regulator (AFM), stated that the Netherlands will take a tough stance to enforce new EU crypto rules, as MiCA can only partially solve the risks. "Given past history, we believe there is no reason to relax enforcement."
