MetaLine, a game on the Arbitrum ecosystem, accuses iZUMi Finance of misappropriating mining rewards and selling its tokens.
BlockBeats reported on June 13th that MetaLine, a project on the Arbitrum ecosystem, accused multi-chain DeFi protocol iZUMi Finance of misappropriating mining rewards and selling its tokens. According to the article, MetaLine agreed to officially cooperate with iZUMi Finance and participate in its double reward mining activity in late May. As part of this event, MetaLine promised to create a liquidity pool worth $60,000 in MTG value and provide $20,000 worth of MTG as a mining reward. At the same time, iZUMi Finance would provide $5,000 worth of IZI as a mining reward.
MetaLine then sent $20,000 worth of MTG to the address provided by iZUMi Finance and initiated the mining reward activity. However, MetaLine found through on-chain tracking and monitoring of iZUMi Finance's address (0x00097ed1dAcdbAB9141835852f8de20D690B6f94) that iZUMi Finance misappropriated $10,000 worth of MTG and only included half of the MTG sent by MetaLine in the liquidity mining reward pool. In addition, iZUMi Finance also sold some of the MTG that was not included in the liquidity mining reward pool (worth more than $2,640) and added this part of the funds to the mining reward pool to continue mining. MetaLine said it attempted to seek clarification from iZUMi, but has not yet received a response.
As previously reported by BlockBeats, iZUMi Finance, a one-stop liquidity-as-a-service DeFi protocol, announced in April that it had completed a $22 million financing round. Regarding the fundraising method, iZUMi Finance issued the "iZUMi zk-Fund" fund series products (SFT, semi-homogenized pass-through tokens) through strategic partner Solv Protocol's latest paradigm protocol Solv V3, and received support from funds and individual investors such as Unicode Digital, NextGen Digital Venture, Bella Protocol, and Incuba Alpha, raising a total of $22 million worth of mainstream digital currency assets such as ETH, stETH, USDC, and USDT.
