A European Parliament committee has voted in favour of banking rule reforms that will require banks to disclose their exposure to crypto assets and crypto asset services
BlockBeats news, on January 25, the European Parliament announced that the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs voted overwhelmingly in favor of amending the Capital Requirements Regulation and the Capital Requirements Directive for banks. Meps also want banks to disclose their exposure to crypto assets and crypto asset services, as well as a specific description of their risk management policies relating to crypto assets. The committee was invited to submit a legislative proposal by June 2023 on specific prudential treatment of exposure to crypto assets.
