Azuki issues a standard Physical Backed Token that supports binding real items to the chain for Scan to Own
BlockBeats news, on October 18th, Azuki released the open source Token standard Physical Backed Token (PBT), which supports binding real objects to the Ethereum blockchain. It is characterized by decentralized authentication and tracking the ownership of physical items, and the process is completely on-chain, without the need for a centralized server.
The first known PBT application was the BEAN chip, a physical encryption chip that self-generates asymmetric key pairs.
PBT enables hardware to create new experiences Scan to Own, where if a physical item is sold or gifted to a new owner, subsequent owners can "Scan to Own" the same physical item, enabling a decentralized transfer of the PBT from the previous owner to the new owner.
