NEAR community new proposal plans to reduce the token issuance rate from 2.5% to 1.6% within 24 months.

BlockBeats news, October 2nd, according to official sources, a new proposal has appeared on the NEAR governance forum, put forward by Svrn AI CEO Sal Ternullo, suggesting reducing the NEAR token issuance rate from 2.5% to 1.6% over 24 months, and promoting a fixed total supply direction in the long term. The proposal is currently open for discussion to validators, House of Stake representatives, and the entire NEAR community.


In addition, NEAR officials stated that the NEAR Intents incident did not involve vulnerabilities in NEAR Protocol or the native NEAR token. The network continued to produce blocks and process transactions, with zero downtime during the period.
