BlockBeats: ethereum 2.0 has released final specification 0.1. The main update is to integrate the signature aggregation algorithm IETF BLS standard into the ethereum 2.0 specification.
It is understood that the main purpose of this release is to achieve the stability and security of ethereum 2.0 phase 0 multi-client test network. We expect to receive feedback on the test network in February and march this year. The current progress is that the ethereum 2.0 deposit contract and beacon chain code are being reviewed.
BlockBeats has reported that phase 0 of ethereum 2.0 was supposed to start in early January, but has now been delayed. God V has said in the community that ethereum 2.0 is expected to launch in the first or second quarter of 2010.
While the launch date may be delayed, ethereum 2.0 is expected to launch on July 30 this year to dig out the original blocks, said Justin Drake, a research fellow at the ethereum foundation. (Trustnode)
