BlockBeats news, recently, the domain name auction product Namebase of the decentralized DNS system Handshake officially launched the new features of the domain name trading system.
BlockBeats previously reported that Handshake announced in early August 2018 that it had secured investments including red shirts, A16z Crypto, Founders Fund, Polychain Capital, Draper Associates and other top VCS, completing a $10.2 million round of financing. With 136 million token HNS, Handshake generates 70% of the tokens that will be distributed to software developers. But so far, the project has only airdropped 999 million tokens to 9,213 people, far short of the 70% share promised.
According to the website's roadmap, Handshake is expected to hit the web by 2019, but has not been specifically updated or announced. BlockBeats understands that Handshake's test network is still running steadily with 203 nodes, mainly in the greater New York and California regions of the us.
Namebase, developer of Handshake, has been promoting its leading web based domain auction software that offers a bid on the root domain of the Handshake system with HNS. Recently, the app went online. Handshake is the instant trade of the token HNS.

After the update, the auction has been supported to purchase HNS tokens in USD and BTC and to trade USD\HNS and BTC\HNS trading pairs in the traditional trading interface. However, the feature is still being tested, which requires signing up and sending a team, but users can boost their rankings by inviting friends.

BlockBeats believes this could mean HNS holders have access to gold. But there has been no official announcement on whether the sold units and airdrops will be unlocked. Meanwhile, HNS is not online on any other exchange.
