The previous wallet version will be deactivated soon. After the hard fork upgrade, the v3.0.0 wallet will only be compatible with Grin nodes running v3.0.0 or later.

BlockBeats news, Yeastplume, a developer focused on Grin and MimbleWimble protocols, recently announced Grin and Grin wallet 3.0.0. According to the developers' official announcement on the Grin forum, Grin and Grin wallet 3.0.0 are ready for use around January 15, 2020 before the hard fork at block height 524,160. The previous version of the wallet will be discontinued soon, the announcement said. After the hard fork upgrade, the v3.0.0 wallet will only be compatible with Grin nodes running v3.0.0 or later.
