Aethir Tokenomics Update: ATH Burn Tied to Real Activity

Read this article in 11 Minutes
Discover Aethir's tokenomics update and see how ATH burns tied to real activity strengthen the network, supporting long-term stability and growth.
Source: Aethir

Key Takeaways

· Daily ATH burn, launching November 2026: Aethir will burn ATH daily, funded by network fees. The burn model launches in November 2026 and will execute daily thereafter.

· Burn follows real activity: The scale of the daily ATH burn follows the network's actual revenue.

· Floating network fee: A floating network fee replaces the fixed platform fee. The rate is determined by a public formula that reads market conditions via time-weighted average price (TWAP). When the market weakens, the rate decreases and the burn share increases.

· Cloud Host protected by design: Cloud Host's emission schedule remains unchanged. This update adjusts the fee mechanism applied on top of these protected rewards.

· Verifiable by everyone: A public burn address and burn dashboard will launch in November, allowing the community to track execution; a fee cap protects Cloud Host. The community can track how network activity translates into ATH burns and verify execution results. The mechanism has been audited by CertiK.

Daily ATH Burn from Network Fees

We are making a major adjustment to ATH's supply mechanism. Starting November 2026, we will burn ATH daily, funded by network fees. Every burn will be sent to a public burn address, permanently removing tokens from supply. Real compute activity will from now on be linked to a transparent ATH burn mechanism.

Only one source for burns: The daily ATH burn is funded by a portion of collected network fees. The daily burn amount is determined by a public formula and its inputs.

What is burned: There is only one source for ATH token burns: the network fees collected when customers book compute.

Execution frequency: Daily. Weekly reference data will be published in the official tokenomics documentation, and anyone can verify cumulative data.

Why it follows activity: By tying burns to usage, supply reflects the activity level of Aethir's compute network.

Floating Network Fee Replaces Fixed Platform Fee

We currently charge a fixed platform fee, which will now be replaced by a floating network fee. This better protects Cloud Hosts on the network and ensures a sustainable supply of computing power for enterprise clients.

When the market weakens, the floating network fee decreases and the burned share increases. A fixed rate is the exact opposite—it never changes. The formula reads the market via time-weighted average price (TWAP).

We build computing capacity based on visible demand—this is the foundation of demand-driven capacity planning. Rates that adjust with market conditions follow the same logic.

Cloud Host Rewards Protected by Design

Cloud Hosts provide the GPUs needed to run the network, so any fee adjustment must prioritize them first. The floating network fee has a cap that will never exceed the value of Cloud Host rewards—this cap is written into the formula. All revenue above the cap goes entirely to Hosts. The Host emission schedule remains unchanged. This update adjusts the fees applied to these protected rewards, a portion of which is burned.

Regardless of market conditions, the fee always remains below the value of rewards earned by Hosts. This eliminates the failure scenario operators fear most: fees growing faster than the return on work.

Operators who run more capacity, or run it better, keep all the rewards they earn. The value of GPU infrastructure lies in contract revenue, and a predictable operator economic model keeps that revenue flowing in.

There is no change to how Hosts earn ATH.

Anyone Can Verify: Burn Mechanism Fully Transparent

Every part of this mechanism is verifiable. Every burn goes to a public burn address. The Burn Dashboard will launch in November, synchronized with the first burn and the burn model, displaying daily, monthly, and cumulative ATH burn volumes, along with complete transaction records.

Our published tokenomics fixes the total ATH contract supply at 42 billion tokens—this has never changed. Burns are sent to a verifiable public burn address and reflected in circulating supply data on major tracking platforms, so every burn reduces the net new supply of ATH.

· Official Tokenomics Document: Published tokenomics description

· Verifiable burn mechanism: The formula, public burn address, and weekly reference data are open to everyone. The first burn will be executed in November. Anyone can verify each burn against the formula starting from the very first one—this is the standard we proactively hold ourselves to.

· Every burn is sent to a public address: 0x000000000000000000000000000000000000dEaD

· Burn dashboard: Launching in November, displaying daily, monthly, and cumulative ATH burn amounts in one place, along with full transaction records.

· The burn mechanism has been audited by CertiK.

We have been building computing capacity throughout this year, and this update connects that work to the token. Every day, burns from network fees flow into the public burn address, permanently removing tokens from supply. The floating network fee fluctuates with the market rather than being fixed. Cloud Host rewards are protected by a cap written into the public formula, and fees will never exceed the value of Cloud Host rewards.

There is no floor on fees—they can drop to zero in weak markets.

Network activity will continue to increase over the coming months as we keep expanding computing capacity through ACCELERATE. Aethir is the offtake party for this capacity, bringing its computing power and revenue on-chain. As a result, once our site goes live, the related activity will flow through the same fee and burn mechanism.

The burn model will launch in November 2026 alongside the burn Dashboard. At that point, anyone can track ATH burns in real time.

Track every burn.

FAQ

What is the ATH tokenomics update?

The ATH tokenomics update changes the supply mechanism for ATH. Every day, we will allocate a portion of network fees to burn ATH, sending it to a public burn address, and replace the fixed platform fee with a floating network fee. The burn model launches in November 2026.

How does the ATH token burn work?

Network fees fund the daily ATH token burn. The burn amount is tied to real activity and determined by a public formula and its corresponding inputs. Every burn is sent to a public address: 0x000000000000000000000000000000000000dEaD

What does this update mean for ATH holders?

ATH holders gain access to a supply that fluctuates with network usage, along with a method to verify it. Burns reduce the net new supply of ATH. The Burn Dashboard will launch in November, publishing the complete historical record since launch; the mechanism has been audited by CertiK.

Will there be changes to ATH emissions from cloud hosts?

No. The Host emission schedule remains unchanged. This update adjusts the fees applied to these rewards, a portion of which will be burned. Fees are capped and will never exceed the value of Cloud Host rewards; all revenue above the cap goes entirely to Hosts.
