Dubai, UAE, October 14, 2026 — Bybit Co-founder and CEO Ben Zhou outlined the company's next-phase blueprint for evolving from a cryptocurrency trading platform into a "New Financial Platform," highlighting new products and partnerships spanning traditional finance and digital asset markets.
The developments were announced during the latest edition of Bybit's semi-annual "Keynote with Ben." Under the theme "Make Your Move," Ben discussed the accelerating convergence of financial markets and the company's growth strategy in response to shifting market dynamics. Departing from its previous studio format, the keynote was held as a live event, with Ben joined by several special guests to explore the changing financial landscape, emerging technologies, and Bybit's next phase of product development.
Bybit entered traditional finance in 2022 through contracts for difference (CFDs). Over four years, Bybit has become the world's largest crypto CFD platform, with peak trading volume reaching $100 billion.
On October 12, Bybit further expanded its traditional finance business by launching stock trading for eligible users, covering over 1,000 U.S. stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs). Users can trade using USDC and buy and sell fractional shares; the service offers 24-hour trading sessions per day from Monday to Friday, covering U.S. pre-market, regular trading hours, and after-hours sessions.
Bybit is also collaborating with Mantle to develop mStocks, targeting a November launch. The tokenized stock product is planned to be backed 1:1 by physical shares, allowing eligible stocks and mStocks to be converted into each other around the clock on Bybit, and to be traded on decentralized trading platforms through automated market maker (AMM) liquidity pools on Mantle. Subject to applicable terms and conditions, mStocks obtained through conversion are also expected to be transferable to Bybit's Unified Trading Account (UTA) for use as trading collateral.
Bybit launched IPO Express in June, allowing eligible users to participate in selected initial public offering (IPO) opportunities at the issue price through tokenized forms of the relevant securities. The first project was SpaceX, aimed at extending Bybit's market coverage from secondary market trading to selected primary market investment opportunities.
The latest developments build on Bybit's continued expansion of perpetual contracts, pre-market trading products, forex, and options. Currently, Bybit's traditional financial products cover over 600 products including stocks, ETFs, indices, commodities, and forex. Cumulative trading volume for traditional financial perpetual contracts has surpassed $180 billion; recent additions include Forex Perps and the industry-first Perp Options based on traditional financial perpetual contracts.
Bybit is also developing new perpetual contract products linked to AI computing power and commodities, further expanding its product footprint beyond the traditional cryptocurrency market.
Beyond trading and investing, Bybit is also continuously expanding its payment infrastructure to help users allocate funds more flexibly. Bybit Pay and Bybit Card support cryptocurrency and fiat currency transfers, merchant payments, and everyday spending.
Currently, related services cover over 5,000 merchants across more than 15 countries. In addition to supporting QR code payments and other payment services, users can also transfer funds to bank accounts and e-wallets. Bybit has issued over 4 million Bybit Cards, further extending the platform's use cases from financial markets to payments and everyday spending.
As its business expands, Bybit continues to increase investment in security, compliance, and technological infrastructure. Bybit stated that in the first half of 2026, it successfully intercepted over 30,000 suspicious withdrawal requests, preventing more than $700 million in potential losses for users.
In 2026, Bybit also obtained five new licenses and regulatory approvals, covering the European Union, the Cayman Islands, Indonesia, South Africa, and El Salvador. These licenses help Bybit continue expanding its business in different markets in accordance with local regulatory requirements.
The company launched Bybit AI in September as a conversational intelligent assistant covering trading, account management, and customer service. In the future, Bybit plans to further expand it to a broader range of financial services across the platform.
Bybit Co-founder and CEO Ben Zhou stated: "Bybit is committed to enhancing speed and scale, enabling every user to seize opportunities and act decisively — this is the core philosophy behind the 'Make Your Move' theme. We have integrated trading, investing, payments, and AI into a single platform, and will continue to expand into more markets and use cases. The platform is ready, and the next step is to enable everyone to enjoy greater financial autonomy and make choices based on their own needs."
Four years after entering traditional financial markets, Bybit has integrated crypto, stocks and ETFs, derivatives, commodities, forex, designated pre-IPO investments, payments, and AI-driven services into its platform business. The company is gradually bringing these functions together onto a single platform while continuing to expand its market coverage, enrich its product offerings, and improve its supporting infrastructure.
For Bybit, developing a "new financial platform" marks the company's next stage: further expanding from the crypto space into global financial markets and playing a broader role.
