In the information-overloaded world of crypto, can an AI chatbot solve it all?

Everyone's On-Chain Goal Is Different, but Chaos Is a Common Pain Point

From tracking whale wallet movements to delving into a protocol's tokenomics, every crypto user's needs are different. Surf, an AI-powered smart assistant platform, is attempting to integrate the entire on-chain research and execution process into a unified conversational interface, enabling all users to achieve their goals in a more natural way.

The current market pace is measured in seconds, yet decision-making remains slow. Switching back and forth between social media, Discord discussions, whitepaper drafts, and DEX charts is not only time-consuming but also prone to missing out on truly valuable signals.

A seemingly simple transaction may require simultaneously opening price tickers, a blockchain explorer, sentiment analysis tools, and cross-chain bridging platforms. With each interface switch, the accumulated analytical context is easily disrupted, adding to cognitive load. Only a handful of tooling experts can navigate these fragmented processes comprehensively. Most people, especially newcomers, are discouraged by complex interfaces and scattered information.

Surf aims to address the barriers and inefficiencies caused by "workflow fragmentation" and "information overload." This demand has already shown strong market feedback: within three weeks after opening the web-based test list on June 23, Surf received over 300,000 applications. The platform has now officially launched its early access program for the first batch of 1,000 users on July 21.

From Fragmented Information Flow to Integrated On-Chain Conversational Experience

At the core of Surf's product is packaging the entire on-chain workflow (including discovery, research, and execution) into a natural language interface. Whether it's a DEX's trading volume anomaly or a smart contract's surge in followers, Surf can capture these early signals and present them through charts and scorecards, with each insight accompanied by traceable data source links to ensure information transparency and verifiability.

With this real-time data, users can continue to ask AI questions in natural language, generating more in-depth research reports. Users do not need to master complex tools, but can proceed through the entire on-chain research and execution process step by step as if chatting.

As early as May, Surf conducted its first test with the macOS prototype version "Surf Lite." Although it did not yet have chat or transaction functionality at that time, its underlying signal detection engine had already garnered strong interest and recognition from early users.

Now, this prototype has evolved into a full Web application version and has been opened to the first batch of waitlisted users since July 21. This version has added natural language chat and enhanced research capabilities, and will gradually integrate on-chain execution functions such as one-click swaps and cross-chain bridging in the future.

A Truly "Crypto-Savvy" AI Model

Surf's brain is the Cyber AI—an AI model specifically built for the crypto field. It is based on a structured crypto knowledge graph, integrating CoinGecko Terminal, RootData, curated X (Twitter) KOL data, and real-time on-chain information, enabling higher accuracy in interpreting tokenomics, tracking project lifecycles, or analyzing on-chain behavior compared to general large models. In the latest Crypto AI Agent (CAIA) Benchmark evaluation, Surf excelled in key metrics such as on-chain signal extraction and economic model analysis.

"AI will become the default interface for users entering the crypto world because it is closer to the human way of thinking," said Ryan Li, Co-founder of Cyber AI and Surf. "What we want to do is to let AI adapt to the user's thought process, making powerful tools that only a few could use truly accessible to the masses. Crypto research and trading will no longer be high barriers but intuitive and easy to use."

A Dialogue Box to Replace All Dashboards

From its initial desktop prototype to the current Web official version, Surf is answering a key question: Can a dialogue window truly replace those cumbersome multiple tabs and tool dashboards?

If users can go directly from "signal capture" to "on-chain execution" without losing context throughout, then Surf will truly accomplish one thing—making on-chain operations shift from complex high barriers to intuitive and efficient, opening new entry points for a broader Web3 user base.
