zkLend is a decentralized currency lending protocol native to Starknet, and is currently a leading project in the Starknet DeFi field. It not only accounts for approximately 21% of the total locked value (TVL) in Starknet DeFi, but also contributes the most transaction volume (over 8 million transactions) and account calls on Starknet. Additionally, it pioneered the use of wstETH collateral on the L2 network. In recent weeks, the protocol has launched a one-click feature based on Starknet-enabled account abstraction technology, making it the first protocol to achieve this using complex multiple calls on the network.
In addition to dapp records, the zkLend team is also very active in infrastructure and DeFi development in the Starknet ecosystem. Co-founder Jonathan Lei is widely regarded as a core contributor to the open source community, writing libraries such as starknet-rs and starkli, as well as key infrastructure components such as integrating The Graph into Starknet and the Starknet Builder Committee. At the same time, co-founder Jane Ma is one of six DeFi committee members selected by the Starknet Foundation, responsible for researching, designing, and implementing on-chain liquidity incentive programs to promote DeFi development.
Entering the new year, the protocol is preparing to launch its native utility token, ZEND, for zkLend. In addition, the team has announced its 2024 roadmap, which includes new innovations to continue improving capital efficiency, enhancing user experience, and protocol functionality. These features include an independent marketplace, a trading builder interface, treasury strategies, and the highly anticipated V2 version. These features will provide users with more ways to combine, modularize, and leverage their assets, and offer innovative and creative products that are not only innovative and creative, but also enjoyable to use through a seamless user experience.
Co-founder Brian Fu said: "We have become a native lending market on Starknet, and we look forward to and support the continued development of Starknet, whether within or outside the scope of zkLend's operations. With the upcoming launch of STRK, we are working closely with the Starknet Foundation to ensure that zkLend's product roadmap can obtain and provide maximum value to our users as the ecosystem develops."
