The hot trend of inscriptions in the Bitcoin ecosystem has continued for half a month, from eths on Ethereum to pols on Polygon, sols and lamp on Solana, and aval on Avalanche. The phenomenon of "chain-to-chain" has been ongoing.
Yesterday, according to FTMScan data, the gas fee of the Fantom network exceeded 10000 gwei, which is suspected to be related to the inscription FANS casting activity on the Fantom network.
FANS is the first inscription on Fantom, with a total of 21 million. Its attraction is not only being the "first" inscription on the third evm chain (the first two being Polygon and Avalanche), but also its name itself has added a lot of popularity to it. Supporters call it the "first orthodox fan inscription $FANS" on the entire network.
Secondly, due to the low gas fees on the Fantom chain, the cost is about 0.15U per transaction, while the previous sols cost was 7-8U. Just like with pols before, the advantage of low cost has also attracted many players.
The Fantom official community also took the opportunity to promote themselves on Twitter. They stated that "In the past 24 hours, Fantom's TX has significantly increased by 2.9 million, which has led to higher gas fees than usual. However, no matter how much the gas fees increase, we are still very cheap compared to other EVM chains."

However, compared to gas fees, what calligraphers are more concerned about during the minting process is "fairness". FANS' Dune panel only counts self-transfers (transferring to oneself during the minting process), and calligraphers who mint in bulk through contracts will not be counted. Previously, the entry of contract players in the minting process of POLS caused a lot of controversy. Later, the community decided to invalidate the calligraphy minted by contract addresses. Currently, FANS has 63% of its remaining minting capacity.

The speed at which pols was minted exceeded the community's expectations, and the entry of "contract scientists" has also caused opposition from many pols holders. The community generally believes that deploying smart contracts will squeeze out the holding opportunities of retail investors, affect decentralization, and thus undermine the narrative of pols; there are also voices that believe that minting inscriptions through contracts is actually a "deflationary" move from the project team.
It is worth noting that there are currently 4-5 engraving tools available, and some tools require the input of a private key to perform minting. Users should be aware of the risks when attempting to use them.

Yesterday, according to Magic Eden market data, the floor price of the Solana blockchain's inscription token Sols has risen to 12.3SOL (approximately $710), with a daily increase of 112%. Additionally, OKX users can now trade Solana inscriptions on the OKX Web3 wallet NFT market. Currently, the Polygon blockchain's inscription market, POLS Market, has officially launched and is open for trading.
pols and sols are both inscriptions that have appeared recently, and both have experienced a certain increase in value after being minted, providing continued momentum for the inscription craze. In addition to FANS, Polygon's second inscription, poli, has also appeared, with 35% already minted at the time of writing. There is also the inscription cels on the CELO network, with a total of 21 million pieces.
BlockBeats reminds that the FOMO sentiment in the inscription market is strong and the price fluctuation is significant. Investors should identify the risks.
