BlockBeats reported on October 9th that, in response to the NFT Ethics' claim that "KOL Sisyphus's true identity is suspected to be Kevin Pawlak, a principal at OpenSea," an OpenSea spokesperson stated: "Kevin Pawlak is a former employee of OpenSea who left in June 2023. His scope of work at OpenSea was limited and he held a non-managerial position. We do not know if he was involved in any related projects. In addition, we have no connection to or information about these projects as they were conducted before he joined OpenSea."

OpenSea posted that Palwak has "limited scope of work"

NFT Ethics disclosed the true identity of Sisyphus on social media on October 8th, tracing him to Kevin Pawlak, the head of OpenSea's investment. Sisyphus has been involved in various suspicious business transactions (such as Anubis) and price manipulation. Sisyphus also attempted to influence OpenSea's decisions using a private account, and communicated with Alameda Research, telling them to buy Anubis (ANKH). NFT Ethics investigated that Sisyphus & Co's involvement in the Anubis incident was a premeditated rug pull, followed by money laundering through PEPE.

During the hype of meme tokens and OHM, Sisyphus once led the creation of a forked project - AnubisDAO. Under the influence of Sisyphus's rallying cry and market heat, the project received support from tens of thousands of Ethereum on the IDO platform Copper within a few days, worth 60 million US dollars, and quickly RUGGED the day after fundraising. Investors' money quickly disappeared without a trace and has not been recovered to this day.

Regarding this, an OpenSea spokesperson told Cointelegraph that they were not aware of Pawlak's involvement in any such activities, but also noted that his scope was "limited" while working there.

Sisyphus Identity Event

NFT Ethics has repeatedly published their speculative analysis on social media platforms.

NFT Ethics stated that pawlak.eth and sisyphus.eth had surprisingly consistent on-chain activity times. For example, both addresses minted Zorbs (ZORB) within a minute of each other. Even though there was no activity for 16 days prior, pawlak.eth still minted sismo.eth (SDAO) within 10 minutes of sisyphus.
Subsequently, NFT Ethics stated that many people confirmed to them that Sisyphus is indeed Kevin Pawlak (his identity is well known in small circles). Within 24 hours of the article's publication, pawlak.eth's decoding address was changed, and Sisyphus blocked NFT Ethics.

However, in response to the NFT Ethics argument, blockchain detective ZachXBT has raised questions, stating that "this thread is one of the most middle-of-the-road things I've read. They make many assumptions based on unrelated events without any facts." The content within the tag is not translated and is preserved.
