华人 VC 对 Friend.tech 兴趣浓厚

Chinese VC firms have a strong interest in Friend.tech.

Betasman partner Wang Tianfan stated in his own X (original Twitter) that if his key has not been traded for a week, all the fees he passively earned will be given to the last person who bought his key.

ABCDE Capital partner BMAN wrote in a tweet yesterday: "The essence of Friend.tech is to treat people as speculative assets, triggering the spread of social currency. These concepts are cool, but unfortunately the product is average. It would be better if users could stay longer. Friendtech is not the final answer, and there will be successors who will overcome it."

BMAN previously pointed out in an interview with BlockBeats that a new form of asset is needed to drive the new cycle of encryption.

From an investment perspective, every round of innovation requires the discovery of new asset forms. However, whether it is issuing assets or capturing asset value, the threshold for companies will also become higher. This means that becoming an asset company in the metaverse will not be as easy as ICO.

Companies like Yuga Labs that can become an IP company or build a virtual world scene have the ability to truly form assets. But with AIGC today, AI can be used to generate text, images, and even prompt-formed companies for various scenes. The infrastructure of the future metaverse will make the entire process extremely easy.

NDV partner Christian, who has been deeply involved in the Friend.tech user community, also displayed his Friend.tech account interface in a tweet yesterday. Previously, according to NFT Whale Alert, Christian sold 2 of his own Keys for 6.93 ETH and then exchanged 3 Keys with well-known NFT whale dingalingts for about 10 ETH.

BlockBeats previously conducted an exclusive interview with NDV. Christian expressed his views on the impact of KOL identity on cryptocurrency investment during the interview.

"As for my own views on being a Twitter KOL or sharing investment insights, I believe that when sharing any content in public, the first thing you should do is to practice what you preach."
"When discussing or analyzing any project, I have already invested a large amount of funds myself, which shows my confidence in the project and is proven by my position."
"I cannot guarantee that my views and judgments are always correct, but I think that at least when sharing, you should truly believe in and agree with the value of the project."

On September 26th, Du Junze, former co-founder of Huobi and partner at ABCDE, released two consecutive updates related to Friend.tech. One update stated that he was "harshly criticized" by the team for not paying attention to Friend.tech and asked the community for an invitation code for the application.

另一条动态则晒出了自己玩 Friend.tech 的收益:「玩了 8 个小时,手续费赚了 6E,KEY 价格突破 1E,高峰超过 100 个 Holders…」 Translation:

The current popularity of Friend.tech is largely due to its coin issuance expectations - for heavy participants, their cognitive framework is that every 1 point may be converted into airdropped tokens worth 1-5 US dollars, or mining with 200-500% APR or even more based on the participation amount.
Currently, the product form of Friend.tech is pure and simple: a concise joint curve that is easy to understand, suitable for high-value KOLs that bring real money; but at the same time, it also has its limitations - when the user profile is expanded, not every user is suitable for this type, and even KOLs need to make segmentation on their own users.

"One thing I like about this app is that it doesn't compete with popular social apps like X, IG, TikTok. It has its own niche, which is small and private, exclusive chat rooms. Anyone can create a small community that really values becoming a member of that chat room."
This is the Bonding Curve that people miss. This means that the total number of people in the room is actually limited to a small group of people. This is a feature, not a bug.
For me personally, being able to share some thoughts, trades, and information that I wouldn't publicly publish in front of the masses, I really feel meaningful. I really enjoy the atmosphere of the chat rooms with many other people, and truly benefit from getting information that cannot be found elsewhere."
