BlockBeats News, September 26th, BAYC announced a collaboration with trendy brand BAPE and will launch a limited physical collection for the first time during the ApeFest event in Hong Kong. BAYC NFT holders who are not present at the event can also purchase the products online. The official stated that BAYC NFT holders have priority, but the collection will soon be available for sale in BAPE stores worldwide.

BAYC only has two collaborations this year

Other than the announced collaboration, BAYC only had one joint activity this year. BlockBeats reported on July 25th that Bored Ape Yacht Club announced a partnership with SaaSy Labs to launch an IP tool called "Made by Apes". Members can apply for unique on-chain licenses, register businesses or products (such as clothing, food, games, music, etc.). Additionally, the platform can be used to verify and distinguish genuine products produced by BAYC and MAYC holders.

And in 2022, BAYC has had over four collaborative partnerships.

March 17, 2022, nWayPlay, an NFT trading platform under Animoca Brands, announced a new game developed in collaboration with Yuga Labs, the parent company of BAYC, which will use ApeCoin as an in-game currency. In April, Yuga Labs announced a partnership with Coinbase to release a trilogy of animated shorts featuring BAYC, produced by a Hollywood team.

In June of the same year, BAYC announced that two joint NFTs it collaborated with the popular music magazine Rolling Stone had been auctioned on OpenSea. On September 1st, the fashion metaverse platform ALTAVA announced a collaboration with Elite Apes, the largest IP holder of BAYC, to launch derivative products of BAYC IP.

BAYC has more collaborations with 21-year-old joint venture partners, such as The Hundreds, a street culture brand, and adidas Originals.

Yuga Labs is preparing for this year's largest community event, ApeFest.

This limited physical collection of BAYC and BAPE's collaboration will be launched for the first time during the ApeFest event in Hong Kong. BlockBeats reported on July 14th that BAYC announced on social media that ApeFest 2023, a monkey-themed event, will be held in Hong Kong from November 3rd to 5th.

Previously, Daniel Alegre, CEO of Yuga Labs, stated in an interview with BlockBeats that ApeFest in Hong Kong will be an important event hosted by Yuga Labs this year.

BAYC floor price has dropped 70% from last year's peak

BlockBeats previously reported that on July 3rd, the floor price of BAYC has fallen below 30 ETH. In the NFT liquidation leaderboard released by CoinGecko on August 16th, BAYC ranked first with a liquidation loss of $754,000.

Since the launch of the incentive token BLUR by NFT trading platform Blur at the beginning of the year, the liquidity of the NFT market has been severely tested. Previously, Huang Licheng was targeted due to liquidity issues caused by point farming on the Blur platform.

As of now, according to Blur data, the current floor price of BAYC is 23.77 ETH, which has dropped over 70% from last year's peak.
