Live Information

MakerDAO Co-founder: Official front-end will block US users, appreciates Korea and Japan's positive attitude towards innovation

On September 13th, Rune Christensen, co-founder of MakerDAO, spoke at the Token2049 roundtable conference in Singapore, stating that all official front-ends under MakerDAO's control will block users from the United States. In a sense, this is an acceptable solution as MakerDAO will continue to focus on building and serving users without violating certain regulatory requirements. Additionally, Christensen also stated that South Korea and Japan are very cautious and slow in accepting cryptocurrencies, but they have a persistent positive attitude towards innovation, which means they are carefully formulating regulatory requirements. MakerDAO will focus on and develop such markets.

Uniswap COO: The team has a physical office in New York and is committed to ensuring that Uniswap becomes an international product.

On September 13th, Mary-Catherine, the COO of Uniswap, spoke at the Token2049 roundtable conference in Singapore. She stated that Uniswap's team is based in the United States and has a physical office in New York City. However, Uniswap's products, including its wallet and web application, are available globally and only a small portion of its users are located in the United States. Uniswap is actively focused on the growth of the Asian market and is committed to ensuring that it becomes an international product.

Coinbase former CTO: Building a network nation is feasible, like materializing DAO in the physical world

On September 13th, Balaji Srinivasan, former CTO of Coinbase, spoke at the Token2049 roundtable conference in Singapore, stating: "The network state is a decentralized country, just like Bitcoin is a decentralized currency. It has the population, income, and real estate imprints of traditional countries, but is distributed around the world and interconnected. Like the islands in the Indonesian region, these islands are physical land fragments separated by the ocean, and the islands of the network state are physical land fragments separated by the internet. Like Bitcoin, it is ubiquitous, which is actually its advantage. It is designed to resist and surpass traditional countries and their systems. In a sense, it just instantiates DAO into the physical world, allowing people not only to hold the same currency, but also to live and build things together."
