STEPN has become the world's first blockchain gaming application to integrate with Apple Pay, allowing users to purchase and trade NFTs directly within the built-in marketplace without the need for a cryptocurrency wallet.

On May 22, 2023, STEPN announced that it had become the world's first blockchain gaming application to successfully integrate Apple Pay.

This milestone integration allows users to use Apple Pay as a simple and secure payment method to purchase and transact STEPN products and upgrades within the STEPN application. Users simply add their bank card to their Apple Wallet and can conduct non-fungible token (NFT) transactions within the in-app marketplace without the need for a crypto wallet.

It is reported that STEPN is the first exercise and reward application hosted on the App Store, which uses cryptocurrency incentives to reward users for exercising. Users can purchase NFT virtual sports shoes, sync them to their phones, and receive rewards when they walk, jog, or run. Since its establishment in 2021, STEPN has quickly become one of the most popular Web3 applications, with a thriving community of 2 to 3 million active users every month.

Through this measure, users can add their credit/debit cards to Apple Wallet on their iPhone, greatly simplifying the payment process and lowering the barrier to entry for purchasing and trading NFTs, such as connecting to a crypto wallet. This brings enhanced security protection, as the user's card details are not stored in any application.
