On April 18, Binance Labs, a venture capital and accelerator owned by Binance, announced the teams selected for Season 6 of its MVB (Most Valuable Builder) program. From infrastructure to application, 12 project teams were selected for the MVB program from over 1500 applications.

The sixth season of MVB, an accelerator program focused on developing the BNB Smart Chain ecosystem, was officially launched on April 17 and will run for 11 weeks. The courses are designed to meet the changing needs of Web 3.0 founders. This includes helping emerging projects realize their full potential through investment and in-depth exchanges with industry experts, as well as providing technical advice on launching and expanding the BNB Smart Chain main network and providing products that meet market needs.

Over the course of each week, Binance Labs will invite speakers from its extensive network of industry veterans and MVB alumni to share perspectives on topics such as law, security, multi-chain infrastructure, user growth flywheels, token economics, and more at eight speaking events.

During this season, each project team will be assigned a dedicated MVB mentor to provide them with tailored advice. In addition, Yi He, co-founder of Binance and head of the Binance Incubator, will host a master class on building culture, teams and marketing, while Changpeng Zhao, co-founder and CEO of Binance, will host a closed session to conclude the Season 6 master class.

He Yi said: "Our mission at Binance Labs is to identify and support founders who have the skills, values and long-term philosophy required for innovative technology solutions, and to positively impact the broader Web 3.0 ecosystem. MVB is designed to accelerate the growth of selected projects within the BNB Smart Link ecosystem. We designed the course in MVB Season 6 to meet the needs of crypto startup founders and to provide early-stage teams with the right support to build sustainable products that contribute to the long-term growth of the ecosystem."

Of the more than 1,500 applications received by the MVB Accelerator program this season, there are founding teams from around the world, with 53% of applicants coming from North America and Europe and 36% from the Asia Pacific region. After a rigorous selection process, fewer than 1 percent of total applications are accepted.

Of the 12 teams participating in Season 6 of the MVB Accelerator programme, two are in infrastructure and five each are in DeFi and Dapp circuits, as outlined below.

infrastructureAltLaye

AltLayer: Provides application-specific multi-chain extensions through highly extensible execution layer systems that derive security from the underlying L1/L2.

At the end of the 11-week accelerator, Binance Labs will hold a private demo day to demonstrate the projects above. In an effort to drive innovation in the Web 3.0 ecosystem, VCS and Binance Labs LP's will be meeting with the MVB team, giving them the opportunity to not only receive funding from Binance, but also from other investors or institutions.
