The third season of the Canto Hackathon was officially launched on December 1, aiming to export more new projects for the Canto ecosystem. Canto is a L1 DeFi public chain based on the Cosmos SDK. The project, driven by developer organisation Plex, aims to drive innovation in DeFi and bring more accessibility, transparency and freedom to traditional finance by providing a range of free public infrastructure.
At the same time, Canto also has the original stablecoin NOTE, which adopts the ERC-20 standard and the overpledge endorsement mechanism. Different from stablecoins in the traditional sense, a new set of stabilization mechanism is introduced. The interest rate algorithm of NOTE is only centered on US $1, and the price is co-integrated with it, but not fully linked. So the price of the NOTE is subject to its own volatility.
Here's a look at some of the new projects the hackathon will bring to this new public chain:
In the DeFi and infrastructure circuit, OnionProtocol is building a suite of products for Canto users, including an asset manager, wallet, and contract generator, and the team also hinted at an extension to DEX in its recent roadmap.

The project being submitted by Leverage Finance is a decentralized lending platform that enables users to deposit their LP tokens. The agreement includes Tarot Vaults and will soon have a new DeFi strategy for the Canto community.

Nexus Oracles is a decentralized network of prophecy machines that provide external and real-world data for smart contracts on Canto. The team wants to provide solutions for random number generators (RNG), encrypted feed pricing, and more.

Dappy.Network aims to create an outlet for Stablecoin and Canto native Token NOTE. With Dappy, users will be able to send USDC and NOTE to bank accounts and mobile wallets in more than 80 countries/regions around the world.

The NeoBase Studios team is submitting a project called CantoSplits, which allows users to split on-chain revenue in a different splits method, so they can share and split revenue between owners. CantoSplits will support ownership splits between CANTO, NOTE (and any other ERC20 tokens), and NFT.

Kali is the author of"Wrappr"Behind the DAO deployer-a solution that merges LLC or UNA instantly with licensed ERC1155 and legitimately filed metadata. The team is preparing to deploy its product to Canto to support NOTE.

Among the funded projects, CantoPad is a LaunchPad platform built on Canto to introduce a fundraising model combined with DAO-IDOs and Re-IDOS.

alyst.canto has launched two products focused on supporting and adopting the Canto network: Panelist, which provides a catalog of the Canto ecosystem; Catalyst, a programmable crowdfunding solution, builder and organization for Canto artists.

Alto.Build is a free public NFT marketplace that enables creators to set their own royalty and license rates.

The Aspen platform enables creators to use their accessible apis and code-free solutions to create NFT with customizable terms and conditions.

Canto Toons is creating an NFT series to provide the Canto community with unique profile pictures as well as an event ticketing platform.

Canto Crabs has released its new game Crab Roul and introduced an invitation mechanic.

SZN GAMES is creating a fantasy sports game in which participants build a dream team of real-life players and score points based on the actual statistical performance of those players or their perceived contributions on the playing field.
