On May 25th, Sean Barger, Managing Director of the decentralized trading platform CPUcoin, spoke on "How CPUcoin Reshape the Mining Pattern and Efficiently Reuses CPU Resources" As the theme, shared what new gameplay CUPcoin can bring, can our CUP be reused for profit? And views on the future development of the CPU mining track.
CPUcoin is building a "computing global network" CGN. CGN brings together untapped CPU resources around the world to form a huge computing network that is scalable and runs around the clock to realize the sharing of computing resources among various platforms.

Rhythm BlockBeats: Please simply send Please introduce the CPUcoin project.
Sean Barger (hereinafter referred to as Sean) :CPUcoin is a decentralized global computing network that can run on real-time dServices of all major operating systems and supports Web 2.0/3.0. The first Dapp, Tweekit.io, has been released, by equilibrium.com, a network of CPUcoin miners. This simple Dapp's API solves the problem of importing any file type and converting it to any domain-specific desired format.
This can be applied to various needs in today's web and crypto space, such as NFT websites, archive importers, signing apps, kyc/aml submission services, and any existing web services that require generic file import functionality. The Dapp is currently connected to Rapid API and NPM, and will soon support WordPress, Shopify, Zapier and Salesforce in the future.
This will be the basis for a scalable tool that can be used to manage the ingestion of any file type, storage and browsing of high-definition NFTs of any size - and is not limited by geography, with an experience far beyond the current standard limit. Files up to 1TB or larger, such as 8k video or wall-sized images, are also included along with the persistence of the viewing tier and the original content storage tier.
Rhythm BlockBeats: Why do you want to create a project like CPUcoin, and what is your original intention?
Sean: When we look at the industry as a whole, there is a big gap in the cost of supporting a blockchain project using managed services like AWS or Azure. Fundamentally, the emergence of these costs is indefensible, and these systems are not decentralized. Although they are highly scalable, there is no guarantee of their availability without centralized control and the required payment of those costs.
For example, if you use these hosting services to maintain 200 miners 7*24 hours of continuous api calls, the annual cost is about 2.8 million US dollars. But the cost of our sharing economy model is only about $10,000. The economics of maintaining high-definition, persistent, long-form content is what we started with, but providing a scalable platform is even more critical for blockchain projects.
Rhythm BlockBeats: What core technologies does CPUcoin use?
Sean:CPUcoin's mining machine is built on a subset of MediaRich servers with no centralization. That is, there is never anything permanently stored on the machine. This technology has a standard installer that anyone can use to run a miner. It can be on Windows, and we have also released a Linux version, which means that the operation of the mining machine supports different types of tablets, desktop computers and servers. By the time we release the Mac OS version, installable miner servers will cover 98% of available computer/server types.
This is not an easy task, because we don't have the concept of "hashing" which is very CPU-intensive, any tasks we do that may take up multiple cores (such as video transcoding) are parallelized, and depending on the machine Priority is deprived of the usage. This means that if someone installs our program on a laptop, the miner (automatically updated) can handle multiple tasks at the same time and reduce CPU usage in a fraction of a second without affecting the calculation of the user application performance. When the machine becomes available again, CPU allocations will continue processing at the normal rate.
Since 2000, the company has invested more than US$100 million in R&D and has issued 8 patents. Additionally, a Traffic Manager, Identity Server capable of tracking all transactions, API calls and payments from various parties is also complete and running. It was used for an initial service called Tweekit.io, and for the CPUcoin dashboard at cpucoin.io.
Rhythm BlockBeats: Can you briefly introduce the team members and the past experience of the main members?
Sean:Sean Barger (myself)——CPUcoin Managing Director. I am also the creator of the first Tetris and a series of other video games, developed and launched the automated graphics and video production software DeBabelizer, which is used by millions of people; Used in many large Web 2.0 websites, I also have 8 patents, and I am also the founder of computing and sharing economy CPUcoin;
Matt Butler: Has been with Equilibrium since 2001 and now also works at CPUcoin. Released 10+ major projects in Enterprise Solutions, including MediaRiche ECM for Microsoft Sharepoint and all MediaRich Server editions;
Michael Terpin: Responsible for Transform Group;
Tony Tong: Joint Venture of HKBA;
Team Also has 3 core engineers.
Rhythm BlockBeats: What do you think is the difficulty of doing this project now?
Sean: Because we already have a strong ability to implement and build technology, and it has passed the test of time. Anyone can install the software, or pass the Experiments with our api. We believe that a real strategy will benefit all involved. We create real technology, real products. You can actually use it to drive real services. The difficulty is just finding and collaborating with people who really care about developing solutions to help solve big problems.
Rhythm BlockBeats: What are the advantages of CPUcoin compared with other projects of the same type?
Sean:Our technology is time-tested and fast. We recommend checking out the detailed competitive analysis at cpucoin.io. In short, we are creating real-world capabilities that deliver in real-time, not just slow batch computing processing. Our solution completes full content generation in less than 230 milliseconds for most current requests. This is currently difficult to achieve in any other computing project.
Rhythm BlockBeats: How do you view the future development of the CPU mining track?
Sean: We believe that bundling all storage systems (EC2, Azure Datalake, Filecoin, IPFS, Etherdata) together as part of our existing capabilities can Supports read/write operations to any storage system, combined with powering HD content creation on-ramp HDNFT persistence and viewing anywhere experience, we already have a testnet that works and shows speed, which means creating a DAO so that all The system operates without centralized management and provides an entry point for future services from third-party developers. This is a key success factor in all things blockchain. This is what we are building.
Rhythm BlockBeats: What are the strategic layout and plans for CPUcoin in the next step?
Sean:Some of the above have been mentioned. We intend to build a DAO such that everything in the middleware layer and miners will be open source, with a strict security model and submission process for all future services. We partnered with Cudos to bring thousands of miners as their first enterprise workload partners. We believe that CPU dapp/dservices mining is "greenfield" with a huge opportunity to power the various next-generation services we are building.
Rhythm BlockBeats: How easy is the operation of the project? Can ordinary people also easily build it? What is the user needs to pay attention to?
Sean:Anyone can install our mining machine to participate in the network. Benefits will grow as Dapps and dservices scale. Third-party extensions that our miners and Compute Global Network (CGN) can deploy will follow the mainnet launch and an open-source release expected in 2023.
Rhythm BlockBeats: In addition to trading, will there be other application scenarios for Token in the future?
Sean: Miners will be paid in CPUcoin. We are working on other transactions, hoping to use CPUcoin to pay for other systems, and eventually multiple currencies are the goal of payment and operation. There are many technologies under development that we can combine to achieve a seamless transition. We will tell you when we are ready.
