How can projects built on different blockchains interact with each other, helping the user receive additional rewards by connecting Staking assets to DeFi, thereby improving the overall return on investment (APY) of the pledged assets?
Today, with nearly a dozen Ankr Earn Staking Staking, we have to ask ourselves, how do different networks interoperate? Ankr Bridge was born!
The Ankr Bridge, as its name suggests, serves as a Bridge to help achieve interoperability between different networks. A Staking user can send Liquid Staking Token to a different blockchain, unlocking more use cases.
The first version of Ankr Bridge implements the sending and storage of aMATICb tokens between Ethereum and Polygon. Because MATIC Liquid Staking occurs on the Ethereum network on the Ankr Earn platform, allowing the aMATICb Token to bridge to Polygon creates new use cases for users to Earn additional rewards.
With Ankr Bridge, users can freely trade Liquid Staking tokens on the DEX, regardless of the underlying blockchain. For example, although MATIC Staking is originally based on Ethereum, users can still buy aMATICb tokens on DEX running on Polygon.
The advantage is obvious, allowing more participants to interact with a user's Staking Token, providing more layers of passive income for mobile Staking users.
Thanks to DEX's freedom to trade freely, users will have a better chance of discovering price differences between different Ankr Liquid Staking tokens. For example, if aMATICb trades at a higher price on Ethereum DEX than Polygon DEX, then this becomes a favorable trading opportunity.
More lending platforms will be unlocked, providing more options for pledge users. Similarly, as demanders have access to more chains, they are also likely to find lending pools with lower interest rates.
Create a new product
More opportunities will lead to more new products, such as indices.
When Liquid Staking is bridged to multiple chains, users can interact with multiple Liquid Staking tokens on a single chain. This means companies can create indexes using ETH, AVAX, MATIC, BNB, FTM, DOT and KSM liquidity pledges. New index tokens can then be introduced, enabling more use cases across multiple chains.
Ankr Bridge is a milestone event for Ankr Liquid Staking, making cross-chain Staking possible. Ankr will be releasing more supported mobile pledge tokens that can be bridged with multiple chains in the coming weeks.
Ankr Bridge is also supported by the Distributed consensus Protocol Ankr Protocol, which allows users to connect mobile pledge tokens to any chain in a scalable, secure and reliable manner. As a result, over the next few months, Ankr Earn will enable a new cross-chain pledge experience that enables seamless pledge on any chain via the Ankr Bridge.
Through seamless cross-chain pledge, users can pledge wETH on the Fantom network and directly obtain aETHc or aETHb on Fantom, greatly expanding the range of cross-multi-chain benefits.
Ankr will continue to innovate, compete differentially across chains, and build a complete Web 3.0 ecosystem of developer infrastructure, Staking, and DeFi that cements the lead of Web3 infrastructure providers.
